Over the past couple of years, I have begun to see Islam as a green religion – the need for recycling, less wastage, agricultural investment. And you all know that I see this earth as a mosque.
Over the past few weeks, I have been marvelling at the ‘springtime’ flourishing of vegetation and flowers throughout Barbados . And I am seeing for the first time the fruit/flowers of what I thought were just leafy foliage. Yesterday, I saw the below:
Allah swt says in Al-Qur’an:
“He Who has, made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels); and has sent down water from the sky. With it have We produced diverse pairs of plants each separate from the others.” (Surah Ta Ha, 53)
